About This Product

■Summary

This is one of the devices that makes good use of the features of Talkabait. It is most commonly used to absorb hydrogen chloride gas, which generates a large amount of absorption heat.

■Mechanism

Hydrogen chloride gas and absorbed water enter from the top of the absorption tube of the wet wall tower and pass in parallel. The absorbed water flows down the inner wall of the absorption tube in the form of a film, during which it is absorbed and cooled. Unabsorbed hydrogen chloride gas passes through the return pipe and is absorbed in a packed recovery column in a liquid-gas countercurrent flow.

■Usage example

It is used not only to absorb hydrogen chloride gas in synthetic hydrochloric acid production equipment in the soda industry and by-product hydrogen chloride gas absorption equipment in the petrochemical industry, but also to absorb hydrogen fluoride gas. Recently, it has been used as part of industrial waste treatment equipment to absorb harmful gases emitted from incinerators and other sources. *Other model numbers are available.
