About This Product

The 5484E is a self-supplied speed converter that includes a piezoelectric accelerometer, signal integration, RMS peak detection, and DC4~20mA signal conditioning in a single package. It is possible to connect directly to the equipment case or bearing housing without going through a signal conditioning device. The amplitude of the integrated accelerometer (velocity) signal is converted to a DC4~20mA signal for industrial processes such as PLC, DCS, and SCADA, which is a simplified means of vibration monitoring. If you select the lead wire type or pin terminal type, a housing is not required and it can be connected directly to the conduit. To reduce installation costs, it can be used together with an intrinsically safe safety barrier, or directly connected to an explosion-proof piping conversion joint to increase explosion protection and safety. Features ■RFI/EMI Reinforced circuit design and installation technology eliminates radio noise generated from radios, etc. ■Excellent moisture resistance The 2-pin MIL connector type is sealed and complies with the IP67 waterproof standard. The lead wire type and terminal block type with the optional IEC conduit elbow comply with the IP66 waterproof standard. ■Explosion-proof certification Certified in America (CSA), Brazil (INMETRO), and Europe (ATEX&IEC). ■Dynamic signal processing The 2-wire type outputs a DC4~20mA vibration signal that is easy to connect to PLC, DCS, and other plant control systems. In addition, the optional 4-wire type can also directly output acceleration signals (100mV/G) for vibration data collection and analysis. ■Conduit The terminal block type and lead wire type have a threaded hole on the top of the sensor for conduit connection. ■Vibration band filter option For ST5484E, it is possible to select and order various bandpass filters. Filter options allow for more accurate measurements. ■Polar independent wiring Patented "IPT®" technology allows connection to loop circuits without worrying about voltage polarity. This reduces wiring errors and eliminates phase reversal of the acceleration output. ■RMS amplitude detection RMS measurement of vibration amplitude is possible. Optionally, true RMS values ​​and extended RMS values ​​for derived peaks are also supported. ■Full scale range It is also compatible with ranges not listed in the model composition table.
