About This Product

Since the knife holder is coated with a photocatalyst, it is also possible to sterilize the parts that come in contact with the handle, making this an unprecedented knife sterilizer. Equipped with an ultraviolet lamp with powerful sterilizing properties, it is wall-mounted and has a compact design. It is a completely retractable type that can fit even the part of the handle that is prone to germs, so it thoroughly sterilizes the entire area. It comes with a safety device that turns off the sterilization lamp when you open the door to take out the knife. Made entirely of stainless steel and always clean.

■Mechanism of sterilizationThe knife sterilizer uses ultraviolet rays with a wavelength of 253.7 nm, which has a high sterilizing effect, and directly damages the DNA information (nucleic acids) of viruses and bacteria. When nucleic acids inside cells are irradiated with ultraviolet rays, they undergo chemical changes that impair their metabolism and cause them to lose their ability to proliferate. If the amount of radiation increases further, the protoplasm will be destroyed and the animal will die. Ultraviolet sterilizers kill all types of bacteria that adhere to the surfaces of stored items.

■Easy sterilization by simply washing and storing toolsAfter cleaning, thoroughly drain the water from the items before storing them in the refrigerator. After that, the sterilization lamp is turned on and every corner is sterilized. You can store it hygienically until the next time you use it.
