About This Product

Filter the sample solution in the vial by simply placing it in a 2ml vial without using a disc filter or syringe filter. It can be used to meet a variety of needs, including HPLC and GC autosamplers, solvent studies, solubility measurements, and powder sample filtration.

■FeaturesFiltration of impurities (fine particles) is important in sample preparation for HPLC analysis. With the Ichem Filter Insert, sample filtration is completed simply by placing the sample and solvent in the vial, pushing it once, and leaving it for a while. After filtration, the entire vial can be placed in an HPLC or LC-MS autosampler and analyzed directly.

■Characteristics-PTFE filter insert material offers wide chemical compatibility with a temperature operating range of 5-100°C.
・PTFE porous filter membrane treated to be moderately hydrophilic.
-Dynamic diffusion across the filter membrane brings the filtrate inside the insert into equilibrium with the vial solution for real-time sampling.
-Filter saturated solutions from solubility and crystallization studies.
・Filter the solution with a heterogeneous catalyst from reaction screening.
- Filtering the solution through a solid matrix of soluble analytes.

■Filter penetration test・Solvent penetration: Immediately observe the amount of filtrate
・Solvent compatibility: Stirring and heating with various solvents
Seal integrity: charcoal in vial filter with particle size 2-12 µm
Solvents tested: DMSO, methanol, acetonitrile, THF, acetone, ethyl acetate, toluene, heptane, IPA/water (50/50), and acetonitrile/water (10/90)

■Application <Research example of solubility vs. temperature>- Add 1 mL ethanol and 60 mg caffeine to a 2 mL vial containing an iChem filter insert.
・Equilibrate at 30℃, 40℃, 50℃, and 60℃ while stirring.
- Automatically sampled by iChemExplorer at the end of equilibration (2uL from filter insert) and diluted online for HPLC analysis.
