About This Product

■Summary

Membrane materials that are strong enough to be used as building materials for building roofs and are ``light and soft'' greatly expand the freedom of architectural design. Because it is lightweight, it can be easily applied to large-span structures, making it possible to create three-dimensional curved surfaces and three-dimensional designs. Due to its high light reflectance, it also contributes to improving energy efficiency.

■Achieve a large space with free design

・"Permanent membrane" is a membrane material coated with polytetrafluoroethylene resin with an emphasis on durability in order to maintain the useful life of the building in which it is used. Generally, it is also called fluororesin membrane or Teflon (R) membrane. ・Nonflammability: A composite material of tetrafluoroethylene resin and glass cloth that has excellent nonflammability. - Toughness: The permanent membrane material uses the thinnest glass fiber "B yarn", ensuring sufficient strength and safety in the membrane structure.

■Excellent safety utilizing membrane structure

・Translucency: Since the permanent film material is semi-transparent, the passing light becomes naturally scattered light with few shadows, making it possible to create a soft space. ・Thermal properties: Reflects over 80% of solar energy, reducing heat conductivity to the interior. ・Weather resistance: Since it is coated with polytetrafluoroethylene resin, it is inert to ultraviolet rays and air pollution, and maintains weather resistance for a long time. ・Self-cleaning properties: Due to the characteristics of the fluororesin membrane, air pollutants that accumulate on the surface are washed away every time it rains.

■Titanium oxide photocatalyst architectural membrane material Skytop (TF-8)

SKYTOP is a permanent membrane material that has even better self-cleaning performance by containing and firing a titanium oxide photocatalyst on its surface. Ultraviolet rays from the sun break down dirt (organic matter) on the membrane surface.
