About This Product

TA Instruments introduces three new high-pressure thermogravimetric instruments (HP-TGA): the Discovery HP-TGA 75, HP-TGA 750, and HP-TGA 7500. From the world leader in magnetic levitation balance (MSB) technology for over 20 years, comes a uniquely designed and easy-to-use top-loading microbalance with unprecedented performance. Additionally, the Discovery HP-TGA is the first to be commercially available in a convenient benchtop design, features an integrated gas and steam delivery and mixing system, temperature control up to 1,100°C, One-Touch-Away™ capability, and TA Features the excellent TRIOS software. Obtaining superior high pressure data has never been easier.

■Features and benefits

- Patented top-loading magnetic levitation balance provides a sealed environment for thermogravimetric testing in reactive atmospheres under conditions of high pressure (up to 80 bar) and high temperature (up to 1,100 °C) Unrivaled 0.1 µg balanced resolution provides the most accurate measurements of small samples or materials with fast reaction rates -Top-loading balanced design ensures excellent weight stability at high temperatures and pressures and provides convenient access to samples for easy loading/unloading - Built-in gas/steam supply and pressure control eliminates the need for a separate system and provides a compact footprint. Precision balanced temperature control for optimized baseline stability Non-porous isolation material in contact with reactive gases in the furnace eliminates potential gas retention (“memory” effects) and eliminates vacuum Ensure status quickly Curie point calibration eliminates the effects of reactant gas type and pressure on temperature measurements - Compact design allows high-pressure TGA to be placed on the benchtop, minimizing valuable laboratory space requirements. Installation in a ventilation hood allows for easy ventilation management when handling toxic gases. -Fast heating and cooling rates (~200 K/min) reduce the possibility of unwanted side reactions and increase sample throughput, even under high pressure. - Small internal volume provides rapid gas change and rapid pressurization, low gas consumption, and safe operating conditions for small amounts of compressed gas
