■Summary
GeoSpec is the industry standard NMR rock core analyzer, installed in nearly every major oil production company and SCAL (special core analysis) laboratory around the world. GeoSpec benchtop NMR rock core analyzers are available in three models: 2, 12, and 20 MHz, and accommodate samples from 1/2 to 6 inches in diameter.
It comes with Green Imaging Technology (GIT) software and accessories to suit everyone from routine rock core analysis to advanced petrophysics. The GeoSpec Core Analyzer 2MHz model is the industry standard for routine measurements of relaxation profiles and allows prediction of fundamental parameters in petrophysics such as porosity, free and bound fluid determination, and T2 cutoff.
These instruments operate at 2MHz to reduce artifacts due to ferromagnetic materials in the sample and to mimic the operation of NMR logging tools. High field (12MHz and 20MHz) GeoSpec models can be used in situations where higher sensitivity is required, such as very low porosity samples, and for specialized applications such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), to name a few. .
