About This Product

■What is “Kanyuu”?・This is a technique used for ceramics, etc., and is a phenomenon that occurs due to the difference in shrinkage rate between the base material and glaze after firing.
- When tiles are placed in a kiln and fired, they expand, and then when they cool, they contract. At this time, if the glaze shrinks more than the tile base, cracks will appear on the glaze surface. This pattern of cracks is called ``kanyuu'' (penetration), and glazes made to intentionally create penetration are called ``kanyuyu'' (penetration glaze).
- When a tile with a penetrating glaze is taken out of the kiln and cooled in the open air, a small sound similar to cracking glass is heard, and the sight of penetrating is a very fantastic sight.

・For construction without joints, adhesive must be used only indoors.
・When using on outdoor walls, be sure to fill the joints.
・Please be careful when using dark-colored joints as there is a risk that the joint material may remain in the penetration.
