This RV-4162-C7 is a small and competitively priced product required for mass production projects. By incorporating a 32.768KHZ CMOS oscillator and RTC circuit in a small SMD package (3.2x1.5mm size), clock functions (seconds, minutes, hours) and calendar functions (date, month, year, year) is added.
Additionally, the output frequency and alarm/timer settings can be programmed, allowing for flexible usage.
