■Linear motor

Linear motors are electromagnetic direct drives. Eliminates mechanical components in the drivetrain and transmits drive power directly to the motion platform without friction. Drive reaches high speed and acceleration. Ironless motors are particularly suited for positioning tasks with the highest demands on precision, as there is no undesirable interaction with permanent magnets. This allows smooth running even at the lowest speeds, while being vibration-free even at high speeds. Nonlinearity of control behavior is avoided and any position can be easily controlled. The driving force can be set freely.

■High-precision position measurement using incremental linear encoder

Non-contact optical encoders directly measure the platform position with maximum accuracy. Nonlinearities, mechanical play, and elastic deformations do not affect the measurements. The range of movement can be further expanded upon request.

■Cross roller guide

In a cross-roller guide, the point contact of the ball in the ball guide is replaced by a line contact of hardened rollers. As a result, they are considerably stiffer and require less preload, reducing friction and allowing smoother running. Crossed roller guides are also distinguished by high guiding precision and load capacity. Force-guided rolling element cage prevents cage creep.
