About This Product

In the consortium project, we are developing a sensor that can be used as the skin of robots for human service.

■Summary

I was involved in the development of a "super flexible contact sensor" (or "soft skin sensor"). This system evaluates the performance and characteristics of prototype sensors under development by measuring, storing, and analyzing the signal output (voltage) waveforms of the prototype sensors.

■Features

・By adopting a PC-based measurement system and converting measurement results into electronic data, it is easy to share measurement results with consortium members. ・By using LabVIEW, a rich set of analysis functions are provided as standard, making it possible to evaluate sensors through various analyses. ・Since the system uses the PXI standard, it can flexibly respond to changes in sensor evaluation methods.

■Technical features

・By using a high-performance AD ​​board, it is possible to reliably measure the output of a sensor whose output is unstable at the prototype stage. ・You can check the saved waveform on the spot where it was measured. ・In the improved system, by adding a digital force gauge (load converter) to the system, it is now possible to measure and save the input (load) and output (voltage) to the sensor in synchronization.

・Confirmation and evaluation of sensor performance by measuring and saving the signal output (voltage waveform) of the prototype sensor ・Evaluation of sensor characteristics through analysis, etc.
