■Product informationSimulates burst noise for EFT (Electrical Fast Transient) tests defined by IEC 61000-4-4 and DIN EN 61000-4-4 standards. With extremely short rise times of 5ns, individual pulses can generate a wideband RF spectrum up to 300MHz. Standard test levels, 2, 3 and 4 are programmed and additional test sequences can also be stored via the memory function.

All burst parameters can be changed during burst testing. This allows easy and continuous detection of EUT failure thresholds. There is no need to interrupt the test due to parameter changes.

It also provides various special functions such as ``Real Burst'' and ``Noise'' simulation to simulate natural phenomena. The “IFM” and “DFM” (frequency increase or decrease within burst packets) functions are important tools for investigating the effects of EUT resonance or saturation. Due to the possibility of highly time-accurate triggering, it is possible to very precisely couple burst pulses to specific processing times in the EUT in order to locate faults.
Microsecond burst pulses are accurately triggered with less than 25ns jitter.
