About This Product

Released on March 31, 2024. In the spring of 2024, it will be renewed as the UltraGas2 series, which saves space by improving the performance of heat transfer tubes. This is an ultra-high-efficiency water heater with a thermal efficiency of 105% that uses the condensation heat of H2O contained in combustion gas. By updating conventional hot water heaters to UltraGas2, it is possible to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by more than 15%. Compatible with hydrogen mixed fuel as an option. The UG hot water total system achieves energy savings of nearly 20% by centrally controlling devices using UltraGas2. This system has received high praise, including receiving the Japan Machinery Federation Chairman's Award in 2021 and being selected for the Kansai Manufacturing New Selection 2,021 by the Kinki Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry.

■Achieve energy savings with ultra-high efficiency

By recovering and using latent heat (heat of condensation of H2O contained in combustion gas), thermal efficiency of 105% (for city gas 13A) is achieved (103% for LPG specifications) based on lower calorific values.

■Latent heat recovery method for water heater body

In the conventional method of recovering latent heat by attaching a latent heat recovery device externally to the water heater, the stainless steel latent heat recovery device corrodes due to the acidity of the condensed water and requires periodic replacement.However, UltraGas2 recovers latent heat through the water heater itself, and the condensed water is collected in a resin tray at the bottom of the water heater, so there is no need to worry about corrosion, and maintenance costs after the water heater is installed are significantly reduced.

■Latent heat recovery throughout the load area

The structure is such that a burner is placed at the top of the water heater, and combustion gas is sent downward.The hot water return ports to the water heater are arranged in two stages, upper and lower, and a lower temperature area is provided at the bottom of the canned water, creating a vertical temperature distribution. This allows efficient heat transfer from the combustion gas to the canned water. If the water heater has two circuits: hot water supply and heating, the external latent heat recovery method recovers latent heat only during the hot water supply load, so it is possible to recover latent heat when the hot water supply load is very small, which would be difficult with this method. Also, unlike external latent heat recovery systems, it has heating capacity equivalent to hot water supply capacity.
