About This Product

Aiming to create a steam boiler that reduces CO2, supports a hydrogen society, and is more compact, we have evolved Hirakawa's proprietary JAFI combustion method, adopted a premixed combustion method for city gas, and created a compact once-through boiler that is highly adaptable to hydrogen co-firing. For hydrogen-only combustion and hydrogen co-combustion, we have achieved industry-leading NOx emission levels (actually measured at 40ppm, converted to O2=0%) that are below environmental standards, making it possible to introduce this product even in urban areas with strict emission regulations. The mixed combustion ratio is 50% city gas and 50% hydrogen by volume, making it possible to operate with city gas only even if there is no hydrogen supply.

■Achieve hydrogen co-firing

Mixed combustion of 50% city gas and 50% hydrogen (by volume). Output 0-75% is city gas 13A exclusive combustion, higher output is city gas 13A/hydrogen mixed combustion. If there is no hydrogen supply, combustion is possible with only city gas 13A (up to 75% output)

■Low NOx by adopting a unique combustion method

It is generally said that low NOx is difficult to achieve with hydrogen combustion (mixed combustion), but by combining the premix combustion method for city gas and the two-stage combustion method for hydrogen using JAFI combustion, a unique technology that does not have a combustion space (combustion chamber) by devising the arrangement of water tubes, we have achieved space savings, low NOx, and hydrogen co-combustion at the same time.

■20-100% proportional combustion method

When operating on city gas 13A, proportional combustion control improves load followability, and by reducing low combustion to 20%, the number of boiler starts and stops is reduced, and heat radiation loss due to post-purge and pre-purge is significantly reduced. System efficiency (actual operating efficiency) will further increase.

■BCP measures

Even if the hydrogen supply is cut off in the event of a disaster, the system can be operated using only city gas.

■Boiler efficiency 96%

The economizer, which uses high-performance heat exchanger tubes with fins, recovers the heat lost in the exhaust gas, achieving a high boiler efficiency of 96% (lower calorific value standard).

■Steam dryness 99% or more

The unique tube structure allows you to obtain high quality steam with a dryness of over 99%.

■Microcontroller

Equipped with a Hirakawa microcontroller released in April 2024. This is a high-performance model with easy-to-read color LCD screen and high operability that makes it easy to understand the operating status at a glance.
