About This Product

■NC lathe

Turret type: C series CW42. Opposing type 2 spindles 2 turrets (12 angles). High precision machining is possible due to thermal displacement countermeasures. Highly rigid horizontal bed with excellent vibration damping properties. Synchronous machining and left and right workpiece transfer are possible.

■Development story

After the success of the P series, which embodies the idea that "bigness can't be small," Hasegawa Machinery's compact, high-precision technology suitable for mass production became increasingly popular. However, at the same time, some people have been saying that the lineup of machine tools that can be used for general-purpose, variable-volume production is becoming smaller. We thought of developing a turret turning center that embodies Hasegawa's ``big doesn't mean small.'' To be honest, there are many different types of turret lathes in the world, and some business partners even suggested that we should discontinue development. However, thanks to Hasegawa's unique structure, a compact and highly accurate machine was completed, which won the Nishikai Memorial Prize from the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun. What is its structure? ・Space saving ・High precision and high productivity with addition of milling function ・Optional support including flexible automation Later, at the request of the director of the Tohoku Sales Office, we developed the CW42, our first full-scale high-precision multitasking machine, and began selling it in November 2022. Designed with options that support automation such as ultra-high pressure coolant and vibration cutting in mind, it achieves not only high-quality machining but also high productivity. Today, the C series of turret lathes has become Hasegawa's mainstay, accounting for nearly half of its sales.
