About This Product

■NC lathe

Comb type: P series P15/25. The frontage of P15 is only 550mm. The standard for highly practical ultra-compact machines. P25 accepts up to 6 inch chuck. Ideal for high-precision parts machining for IT, automobiles, etc. High precision specification of 0.1μm.

■Development story

``Area the size of a newspaper'' As the number of cutting-edge workpieces to be processed in the IT industry and other industries increased, the downsizing of parts progressed. A request came in from a major precision equipment manufacturer to create an ultra-compact machine tool with an area the size of a newspaper. Although it is an ultra-compact machine tool, it is necessary to develop a machine that can withstand mass production, not for research and development. Although it was a difficult assignment, we reviewed the conventional structure from the following points. ・Space saving with front-facing main shaft and separate turret ・Symmetrical low center of gravity structure ・Flexible automation possible The development was successful, and the machine was exhibited at JIMTOF (Japan International Machine Tool Fair) in hopes of further expanding sales. As the melody of ``Hotaru no Hikari'' played on the final day, customers were intently staring at the P Series. He was a production engineer at a major auto parts manufacturer. It was later said that this machine was a perfect match for the new trend of thinking that machine size is wasteful. It has been over 10 years since we delivered a prototype machine to this customer's company, and we have delivered several hundred machines. The auto parts industry has not had many transactions until now, but the company has decided to open a sales office in Aichi Prefecture for the first time.
