About This Product

■Summary

Airprep is a small, lightweight air sampler that uses a dry air filter to collect airborne particles. It actively samples up to 200L of air per minute and efficiently collects particles, bacteria, pollen, mold, fungal spores, viruses, bacteria, etc. onto the filter. Collected particles are efficiently collected using the patented WetFoamElution™, producing approximately 6 mL of concentrated liquid sample in just a few seconds. The generated liquid sample can be directly analyzed using molecular methods such as PCR.

■Dry filter method

Since no liquid or agar medium is used, long-term sampling is possible even in low- and high-temperature environments. Optimized for collection of 0.01 to 10.0μm, it efficiently collects fine particles, etc.

■Easy operation with 5 buttons

Using a dedicated elution kit, particles can be efficiently recovered from the filter in just seconds. Approximately 6 mL of liquid sample will be produced.

■Collection principle

Airprep uses a 52mm dry electret filter as the collection medium. Particles collected on the filter are collected using WetFoamElution™ as a very small liquid sample of approximately 6ml. (Disposable ``Airprep filter & elution kit'' is required for collection.)

■52mm dry electret filter

These filters are made of dielectric polymer fibers that generate an electrical charge on their surfaces as air passes through them. This charge dramatically improves the filter's collection efficiency, allowing it to efficiently collect particles even under large airflow conditions.
