About This Product

■Fast processingParr's high temperature pressurized acid digestion vessels are suitable for preparing samples for analysis. The combination of highly chemically resistant PTFE and a well-sealed pressure vessel allows for rapid sample solubilization and digestion, offering multiple advantages over traditional sample preparation. Maintaining strong acids and strong alkalis at temperatures above their normal boiling point provides the following benefits:

■Features- Samples whose decomposition rate is slow under atmospheric pressure can be rapidly subjected to acid decomposition treatment.
- Resistant to strong acids such as hydrogen fluoride and aqua regia
・Solubilization of analysis samples without loss of test substances or contamination from the container itself
・Active chemical reaction promotion that enables a significant reduction in processing time
・Decomposition of samples that is difficult with other methods

■Solubilization of inorganic samplesOre, rock, glass, and other inorganic materials can be rapidly solubilized using Parr's high-temperature, pressurized acid digestion vessels and strong acids (such as hydrogen fluoride, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and aqua regia). The same goes for other chemicals and processed products, and there is no unnecessary ion contamination, and samples can be completely recovered. Processing at reaction temperatures above the normal boiling point allows rapid solubilization and decomposition for all types of chemical analysis (particularly atomic absorption and ICP) and other atomic identification analytical instruments.

■Solubilization of organic samplesOrganic samples are treated with nitric acid or other oxidizing agents, which can be done safely and easily using Parr's high temperature pressurized acid digestion vessels. (Please refer to the precautions attached to the product) Alkaline or acid hydrolysis reactions can be handled easily as well.

■Other reactionsBesides regular sample digestion and solubilization, this high temperature pressurized acid digestion vessel can be used as a small volume reactor. The container has a PTFE liner and can be processed at the pressure and temperature ranges mentioned above. For stirring, use a magnetic stirrer etc.

■Spring load sealPTFE is more affected by thermal expansion than the material in which the liner is enclosed, so when the high-temperature pressurized acid decomposition vessel is being heated and cooled, the PTFE liner expands and adheres more tightly than at room temperature. To account for this difference and maintain constant force on the PTFE seal, all Parr high temperature pressurized acid digestion vessels feature a spring-loaded seal to maintain constant pressure on the liner seal during the operating cycle.
