■Summary

CONTINEWM is an innovative seat that recovers the electricity (electricity bill) that was previously wasted by eliminating the performance degradation caused by static electricity interference in air conditioners.

■What is power recovery?

The reason why we continue to waste electricity on air conditioners is "air (flow path) resistance," and what causes this is the "positive static electricity" charged in air conditioners. When an air conditioner is positively charged, the airflow becomes turbulent and the airflow is not as designed, reducing heat exchange efficiency and consuming unnecessary electricity. Air conditioners that experience air resistance are constantly operating in a headwind, consuming energy unnecessarily. Energy savings are achieved by eliminating air flow resistance and recovering the airflow as designed.

■CONTINEWM® power recovery mechanism

The heat exchanger (fins) and resin panels (insulators) inside the air conditioner are positively charged due to static electricity generated by friction with the air as the fan rotates. When an air conditioner becomes electrically charged, the airflow doesn't flow as intended and the heat exchange rate decreases. Install CONTINEWM® in front of the heat exchanger. Then, since CONTINEWM® is always maintained at a negative potential, it suppresses the generation of positive charges and changes the air to zero charge. By being in a state of zero charge, the air conditioner is not affected by static electricity and is able to achieve its originally intended heat exchange efficiency. The following phenomena occur in the air conditioner and the room, and the operation changes to avoid wasting electricity.

■Secondary effects

The source of odors is invisible minute substances dispersed in the air, but it is said that the reason why odorous substances and dust float in the air is because they become positively charged and repel each other in the air. When these substances come into contact with CONTINEWM®, which is constantly maintained at a negative potential, the air becomes zero-charged, preventing them from floating in the air, making it difficult to detect odors.
