About This Product

■Features

Sodium pyruvate promotes the growth of bacteria damaged during food processing. In addition, many CNS (coagulase-negative Staphylococcus), including S. epidermidis, are easy to identify because they are suppressed or form small black colonies with no yolk reaction. In terms of growth inhibition ability, tellurite inhibits the growth of Bacillus and Enterococcus species. This is a culture medium specified by the standards for meat products, ISO, JIS, and Japanese Pharmacopoeia.

■Composition (per 1L of purified water)

・Meat extract: 5.0g ・Yeast extract: 1.0g ・Lithium chloride: 5.0g ・Peptone caseinate: 10.0g ・Glycine: 12.0g ・Sodium pyruvate: 10.0g ・Potassium tellurite: 0.1g ・Agar: 17.0g ・Egg yolk liquid: 20.0ml ・pH7.4±0.2
