About This Product

■Summary

This device crushes microorganisms and emulsifies and disperses drugs with good reproducibility by placing a sample solution in a cell, pressurizing it at a constant pressure with a piston, and slowly collecting it drop by drop from a sample take-out valve. As the sample passes through the extraction valve, the pressure is rapidly reduced from high pressure to atmospheric pressure, causing it to be crushed. It can pressurize up to 40,000psi (280MPa), so it is recommended for crushing yeast, bacteria, E. coli, etc. In principle, it can be used even at high sample concentrations.

■Features

This is an air-driven French press pressure homogenizer. Depending on the air compressor used, it can pressurize up to 43,000psi (310MPa). Since the crushing principle is exactly the same as that of the French press, similar sample processing is possible. The maximum amount processed at one time is 15ml. In addition to collecting the sample into a centrifuge tube using a silicone tube, you can also use a 20ml disposable syringe. The sample processing part (liquid contact part) is fixed to the air pump part, but this device can also be installed in a cold room. After sample processing is complete, the wetted parts are cleaned by pouring water or detergent inside. *If you use a special tool and torque wrench, you can disassemble and clean the wetted parts.
