About This Product
■Summary
This device crushes microorganisms and emulsifies and disperses drugs with good reproducibility by placing a sample solution in a cell, pressurizing it at a constant pressure with a piston, and slowly collecting it drop by drop from a sample take-out valve. As the sample passes through the extraction valve, the pressure is rapidly reduced from high pressure to atmospheric pressure, causing it to be crushed. It can pressurize up to 40,000psi (280MPa), so it is recommended for crushing yeast, bacteria, E. coli, etc. In principle, it can be used even at high sample concentrations.
■Features
The French press, a pressure-type cell crusher developed by Dr. French and AMINCO at the time, has been revived with an electric hydraulic press section that has improved safety.
■High reproducibility
Exquisite automatic pressure control provides high reproducibility.
■Less deactivation
The French press method produces fewer air bubbles that can cause deactivation, and can minimize sample oxidation. The cell part can be removed, so you can cool it in a refrigerator beforehand.
■Arbitrary pressure setting
You can freely set the crushing pressure up to 40,000psi (280MPa).
■Abundant track record
It can reliably crush bacteria, yeast, staphylococcus, E. coli, animal cells, nematodes, protozoa, etc.
■Two types of cells
Standard manual cells (up to 40,000psi, 35ml) and micro-processing mini cells (up to 20,000psi, 3.7ml) are available. The 35ml standard cell has the same shape as the old AMINCO-Thermo cell and is compatible. However, the 3.7ml mini cell is not compatible with older models.
■Rapid file kit
By setting the Rapid File Kit into a standard manual cell, it is possible to perform continuous crushing processing through repeated operations without removing the cell section from the press body.
