About This Product

■Product overview

-Intranasal hemostatic tampon with applicator. Gently and firmly compress the nasal mucosa. - A PVA sponge is housed in the applicator, so even non-specialists can easily guide it to the bleeding area. It also has the effect of preventing moisture. - When inserted into the nasal cavity, it absorbs moisture and expands to approximately 8 times its volume when compressed. Since the pore size is smaller than that of general surgical sponges, it is difficult for tissue to penetrate into the sponge, and it is characterized by less tissue adhesion. - Can be removed without rebleeding. RhinoRocket can also be used for bleeding in the posterior nasal cavity, but its primary purpose is to compress the mucous membrane after nasal surgery and to treat bleeding from the anterior and middle nasal cavities.

■How to use

- Insert the tip of Rhinorocket into the nostril and push out the sponge (expander cell). - A sponge is inserted along the inferior nasal meatus, past the nasal turbinates, and placed at the required site. ・The sponge will begin to swell. If there is not enough bleeding to cause swelling, add saline. - Attach the thread used for removal to the side of the nose with a small piece of tape. ・Your doctor should judge the insertion of sponges, the number of sponges to insert, and the timing of removal. Usually one sponge is used on each side. Add a sponge if your nasal passages are larger than normal. - If the sponge is dry when you remove it, add physiological saline to soften it before removing it.
