About This Product

Silicon is widely used as an infrared reflective or window substrate in the 1.5-8 μm band. It has a high absorption rate at 9 μm, so it is not suitable for CO2 laser transmission, but it is sometimes used as a laser mirror material because it has high thermal conductivity, low specific gravity, and light weight. It is also recognized to be useful in the 20μm band.
