About This Product

Bambu ASA is a highly durable material that offers exceptional UV, weather, mechanical, and thermal resistance. Its unique combination of properties makes it an ideal material for printing outdoor models (plant signs, mailboxes, wind vanes, etc.) and structural parts that require long-term exposure to challenging outdoor conditions.

■Feature

Bambu ASA offers extraordinary UV, oxidation, and aging resistance, providing effective protection against breakage and color degradation when used outdoors for long-term purposes. Compared to normal PETG or ABS, Bambu ASA can remain in shape even at a temperature of 100°C.

■Suitables

Good UV resistance,Nice glossy surface, which is pleasant to tough,Tough and strong,Chemically resistant,Lower color fade,Can be smoothed with a solvent like acetone

■Not suitables

・ASA is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs water from the air ・May be tough to work with ・May produce toxic smoke when burnt ・Some grades and filaments cost much ・ASA melts with some other plastics giving rise to moldings of poor strength ・Can't withstand some concentrated acids, hydrocarbons, esters, ethers and ketones
