About This Product

■Disc-type conduction heating liquid dryer CD dryer features and specifications

Nishimura Iron Works' main product is the CD Dryer (CompactDisk Dryer), a compact, disc-type dryer that is a disc-type conduction heating liquid dryer. Here, we will introduce the features, benefits, and specifications of this CD dryer. In addition, in the second half of the article, we also touch on advanced models of CD dryers, such as the A-VCD dryer that can operate under vacuum, the E-CD dryer that operates on electric heating clean energy, and the energy-saving H-VCD dryer equipped with a heat pump system. Features of CD dryer

■High performance, high efficiency

・The CD dryer is a conduction heat transfer type dryer that indirectly heats and dries liquid materials using heat conduction from a heat source. ・Both surfaces of the hollow disk are used as heat transfer surfaces. ・Water evaporation capacity 200kg/m²h (20℃ water) or more ・Overall conductivity coefficient 2,300W/m²k

■Structure

3 disc model ・Steam is supplied from the rotating shaft ・Drainage is discharged from the opposite shaft ・The stock solution is supplied by a circulation pump (3 disks → 6 disks) ・Dries on the disk surface ・Remove dry matter with a scraper

■Supply to the disk surface

The stock solution in the circulation tank is sprinkled onto the disk surface via the feed pipe by the circulation pump. By supplying the stock solution vertically to the disk surface, it spreads into a thin film, increasing heat transfer.

■Drying

The undiluted solution adhering to the disc will dry as the disc rotates. The unadhered solution is returned to the circulation tank and is sprinkled again, making it possible to dry without wasting the solution. In addition, the rotation speed of the disc and the steam pressure (heating temperature) can be easily adjusted, making it possible to adjust the processing capacity and dryness according to the condition of the dried material.

■Scraping off dried items

Dry matter on the disk surface is scraped off with a scraper. Scraping with a scraper keeps the disk surface (heat transfer surface) clean at all times, so there is no reduction in heat transfer performance.

■Compact size

The installation area of the CD dryer is approximately 40% that of a conventional double drum dryer, making it space-saving.

■Advantages of installing a CD dryer

CD dryers are superior in many other ways.
