About This Product

Protect your heavy vehicle wheels on and off-road with Nord-Lock wheel nuts. Our products maintain high axial force even in harsh environments.

■Product structure

When tightening, the serrations on the bolt grip the mating material. A wedge effect occurs because the cam angle α is greater than the screw lead angle β. The washer's serrations firmly grip and fix the fastening surface, and although only the cam surface is movable, the cam's wedge effect can stop the rotation of the wheel nut.

■Advantages of using Nord-Lock wheel nuts

■Applications of Nord-Lock wheel nuts

Nord-Lock wheel nuts can be used on wheels with metal rims that have a flat nut seat. Flanged wheel nuts with built-in Nord-Lock washers are ideal for vehicles such as: ・Large on-road vehicles (buses, trucks, trailers, etc.) ・Heavy machinery, agricultural machinery, forestry machinery (agricultural machinery such as tractors and combines, wheel loaders, forestry machinery, mobile cranes, military vehicles, etc.)

■Product structure of Nord-Lock wheel nuts

A Nord-Lock wheel nut is a wheel nut with a Nord-Lock washer integrated into it. When tightened, the serrations grip and fix the nut and wheel surface. When force is applied in the loosening direction due to vibration, etc., the cam pulls the wheel nut due to the angle difference between α and β, increasing the axial force. Physically prevents wheel nuts from loosening.
