About This Product

Nord-Lock Steel Construction (SC) washers are wedge locking washers specifically designed for steel construction according to European standards EN14399-3 /EN14399-4 /EN14399-8.

■Product structure

SC washers have a chamfer on the inner diameter to ensure an optimal contact surface on steel structures and eliminate the risk of incorrect installation.

■Advantages of using Nord-Lock SC washers

・Bolt joints of structural steel materials ・Designed and approved for HV sets ・Reliable fastening even when the fastening length is short ・High corrosion resistance ・Fascinating function unaffected by lubricating oil - Can be quickly and easily installed and removed using only common tools ・Can be reused - Possible to precisely manage axial force to prevent loosening ・Same temperature characteristics as standard bolts/nuts ・Prevents bolt connections from loosening even under severe vibrations and fluctuating loads

■Application

Nord-Lock SC washers are a direct replacement for standard washers, bolts, and chamfered washers and prevent bolt rotational loosening. SC washers are suitable for a variety of applications in the architectural civil engineering and bridge industries. It can be safely used for friction welding of bolted connections for high-strength structures, and has received the following certifications as an HV assembly. The European Technical Assessment ETA-20/0010SC washers, NLO, NLSS, 254 SMO® published by the German Institute of Building Technology (DIBt) can also be safely used in bolted connections for bearing connections. Compliant with EN 15048 and ETA-19/0813 published by DIBt.
