About This Product

■Summary

Nord-Lock washers, which feature a wedge locking mechanism, use axial force rather than friction to physically prevent bolt connections from loosening. Nord-Lock washers greatly reduce the risk of loss due to unexpected production stoppages, accidents, warranty claims, etc., contributing to improved production efficiency and reduced maintenance costs.

■Product structure

When the bolt is tightened, the serrations grip and secure the mating material. When a loosening force is applied, the cam angle α is larger than the screw lead angle β, so the washer becomes thicker and pulls up the bolt head, conversely increasing the axial force. Physically prevents rotational loosening by using the axial force itself.
