■Learn through play

Learn the basics of AI in a fun and creative way. The kit also provides step-by-step tutorials online so beginners can start building right away.

■Teaching a robot to “see”

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) |Warehouse Receipt. The warehouse receiving system uses OCR technology to identify the characters on the product and uses a robotic arm to place the product on the appropriate shelf. OCR is widely used for business process automation and optimization. Originating from the scanning of printed text-heavy books, OCR can now read a wide variety of text, including license plates, advertisements, and road signs.

■Image recognition

Automated garbage sorting. The automatic trash sorting system uses voice recognition to recognize voice commands, image recognition to identify different types of trash, and a robotic arm to place the trash into the corresponding bins. As a subset of AI, image recognition is widely used in a variety of settings, such as detecting faces on your phone to take better photos or automatically detecting friends on Facebook.
