CONCEPT

■Create a clear and quiet atmosphere in the office

The problem of reverberant sound that haunts spaces surrounded by glass. The transparent sound-absorbing panel "iwasemi™ HX-α", which applies acoustic metamaterial technology, is a sound-absorbing material that can be attached to glass. It suppresses the echoing sound of the glass, creating a clear space that is easy to talk to.

■Achieves high sound absorption coefficient in any frequency band

iwasemi™ is a sound-absorbing material developed by applying Pixie Dust Technologies' (PxDT) proprietary sound-absorbing design technology to acoustic metamaterial technology. iwasemi™ is applied to various fields of society such as construction, building materials, fixtures, railways, and automobiles. iwasemi™ sound absorbing material has the following three characteristics. ・Flexibility of sound absorption frequency characteristics ・Achieving both high sound absorption coefficient and thinness ・High degree of freedom in material selection and processing

■Flexibility of sound absorption frequency characteristics

General sound absorbing materials made of materials such as glass wool have the property that, in principle, the sound absorption coefficient increases as the frequency range increases. On the other hand, iwasemi™ can realize flexible sound absorption frequency characteristics depending on the application scene, such as the property that the sound absorption coefficient increases only in a specific frequency band, or the property that shows a high sound absorption coefficient evenly from the low band to the high band.

■Achieving both high sound absorption coefficient and thinness

In order to increase the sound absorption rate of general sound absorbing materials, it is necessary to make them thicker. On the other hand, with iwasemi™, it is possible to increase the sound absorption coefficient without increasing the thickness of the sound absorbing material. In other words, it is possible to achieve a thinner product while maintaining the same sound absorption coefficient as general sound absorbing materials.

■High degree of freedom in material selection and processing
