■A wide range of products compatible with various control methods

The specifications of electrical equipment for cranes are determined by the structure, purpose, voltage, control method, etc. of the crane. Also, the ratings of motors, resistors, etc. will change depending on the frequency of use of the crane and the installation environment. We have prepared a variety of control methods and control equipment, and summarized them so that you can select the one that is suitable for your use.

■High reliability based on many years of experience

This is a highly reliable control device with over 40 years of experience. (Note) The control panel is sold as a system.

■DY control (dynamic control)

When using an AC wound motor as a crane hoisting drive, DC braking is one way to obtain low and intermediate speeds during lowering. This method allows low-speed operation over a fairly wide range when lowering heavy loads, so it is used for relatively large cranes such as general cranes, shipbuilding cranes, and steel-making cranes that require low-speed operation when lowering heavy loads.

■Features

1. Intermediate speed during lowering (minus load) can be controlled. 2. Speed-torque characteristics can be easily changed by changing the secondary resistance. 3. Braking torque decreases as the rotation speed decreases, and is 0 when the motor is stopped. 4. Since it is electrically braked, there are no mechanical parts that wear out. 5. Since the motor is directly used as a braking torque generator, there are no problems associated with an increase in GD2 as with eddy current brake control (AS control).

■Circuit configuration

DY control is all indirect operation. The motor's primary reversible switching, secondary resistance short-circuiting, and direct current switching are all performed via the magnetic contactor. The acceleration magnetic contactors on the secondary side of the motor are sequentially turned on. Even if the controller is suddenly turned from OFF notch to 4 notches, the acceleration magnetic contactors will turn ON sequentially. However, in order to avoid overspeed during operation other than DY control notch during lowering, a synchronous speed relay is installed to immediately turn on the secondary final stage magnetic contactor at synchronous speed and enter regenerative operation.
