Illumination's proprietary hot stamp molding device is a patented technology. There is no need to separate the plating mold and the product mold, and by integrating the molds, costs are reduced and the weight of fasteners, etc. is also reduced. It can be made into a product immediately by pressing for several tens of seconds to several minutes. No masking, drying process, or insert molding required.

Features of hot stamp molding
■No need for the drying process that is characteristic of hot stampingHot stamping is a technology that presses heated foil and transfers it. Since it is different from painting, it does not require any drying process. Plating normally requires masking and drying processes, so we can provide the same beautiful finish as plating with approximately 1/10th the number of steps.

■It is possible to process using partial decorative sheet pieces instead of conventional large-sized decorative sheets.Conventional hot stamping requires the use of large-sized decorative sheets, which causes problems with wrinkles and air pockets. However, with illumination, the previously cut PP resin board or decorative sheet is fixed using a jig, so it is now possible to partially decorate the place where it is placed, even if it has a complex shape. The masking process for areas that are not to be decorated and the wasted use of decorative sheets are reduced, and manufacturing costs can be significantly reduced with short delivery times.

■Increased freedom in designIt is possible to install decorative sheets with different designs in multiple locations within the same molded product. Furthermore, by using a thick decorative sheet, it is possible to improve scratch resistance and weather resistance. The hot stamped areas are heat treated, so there is no need to worry about them peeling off.

Hot stamping can be used to decorate with metallic luster. This is a printing technique called foil stamping.
