About This Product

This product is suitable for product lines, lubrication lines, and ventilation lines.

The black structural layer on the outside of the UPP primary pipe is made of high-density polyethylene (grade PE80 or PE100), which has excellent burst resistance and excellent protection against damage caused by microorganisms and rodents. The middle layer of the pipe is a bonding layer (adhesive) that semi-permanently bonds the polyethylene layer and EVOH layer. The yellow protective layer inside the pipe is a special composition of fuel-resistant EVOH that is extremely resistant to the absorption and penetration of gasoline and alcohol-mixed fuels. In addition, the inner wall of the UPP primary pipe is smooth and has less friction loss, resulting in lower fluid loss and higher flow velocity compared to steel pipes.

UPP primary piping is designed with an outside diameter/wall thickness ratio of 11. The rated pressure is 10bar (150psi) at 20°C and the burst pressure is typically 40bar (600psi) with a typical safety factor. UPP primary pipes made of high-density polyethylene joined by electrofusion have no joints and have sufficient structural strength to withstand the weight of backfill and dynamic traffic loads, eliminating the need for concrete trenches.
