About This Product

■Summary

Load the sample into a round-bottomed flask, fill the inner tube with dry ice and acetone, and open the top cock connected to the vacuum pump to create a high vacuum inside the device. Drying progresses as water evaporates from the sample through sublimation. This is a commonly used freeze-drying device. Dry ice and acetone are placed in the central tube and the stopcock is turned off to reduce the pressure.
