■Initial leakage (alarm) and abnormal leakage (emergency stop), two-stage detection for each condition

Two detection sections are installed on the back of the sensor, one at the tip and the other at the center. When a leak occurs in front of the sensor, the detection part at the tip detects a small initial leak, and when the leak increases and reaches the center, the sensor detects it as an abnormal leak. Previously, two-stage detection of liquid leakage required two sensors installed at different heights, but now it can be detected with a single sensor.

■Human error (improper installation) is also detected

The SQ4 series not only detects liquid leaks, but also detects human errors such as forgetting to install a sensor, and abnormal sensor conditions. If the sensor itself or the mounting hardware comes off, if the sensor is improperly installed, or if the cable is disconnected, no light will be received, and the same output as "liquid leakage" will be obtained.

■Can be used as a single sensor

You can add the benefits of two-stage detection even when adding to or replacing your current equipment.

■Obtained safety certification. Achieving the highest level of safety performance

The SQ4 system is configured to meet international safety standards. The combination of sensor [SQ4-A] and controller [SQ4-C11] has achieved control category 4, PLe, and SIL3 in ISO13849-1, which has been updated to add probability theory to the conventional risk assessment system (control category) to evaluate the functional safety of programmable electronic control systems. The sensor alone has achieved control category 1, PLc, and SIL1.

■Two CPUs provide high safety control

Two independent CPUs installed in the controller mutually check the operating status. Safety is ensured by duplicating the signal processing circuit and output circuit. Furthermore, in order to prove safe operation, we pursue even higher safety using FMEA*. *FMEA: A systematic analysis method for potential failures and defects with the aim of preventing failures and defects.
