■What is a barista?

Varistor is an abbreviation for Variable Resistor and is a non-linear resistor or voltage dependent resistor. An element whose resistance value changes depending on the applied voltage, and is a ceramic electronic component that uses this property to protect electronic equipment from abnormal voltages such as lightning surges and static electricity. ■Current/voltage characteristics

■Zener diode (ZD)

・Widely used as a static electricity countermeasure component (in-vehicle, ICT, etc.) ・In ICT, 0402 size (1006mm) is mainly used. ・Has +/- polarity (Static electricity protection only in one direction) (There is also a product lineup that supports both directions) -Low capacitance (1pF or less) available

■Chip barista

・Widely used as a static electricity countermeasure component (in-vehicle, ICT, etc.) ・In ICT, 0201 size (0603mm) is mainly used. ・Miniaturization and cost reduction possible ・No +/- polarity (static electricity countermeasures in both directions) ・Low capacitance (1pF or less) is not available
