About This Product

In order to make motors quieter and reduce vibration, it is necessary to measure and reduce cogging torque. Sugawara's cogging torque/torque ripple measurement system can measure the cogging torque of various motors (DC, DC brushless, AC servo, stepping, etc.) with high precision without mechanical loss, greatly contributing to motor development and quality control.

■Main features・Cogging torque can be measured without mechanical loss
・Cogging torque and torque ripple can be measured with one unit: By replacing the torque sensor, a wide torque range can be measured at low cost.
・High precision: measurement angle resolution 0.01°, maximum number of data acquisition per rotation is 36,000
・Very high measurement reproducibility
・Short takt time: Measurement can be completed in as little as 3 seconds (at drive speed of 20r/min). Vertical structure makes alignment easy, reducing measurement time
- Convenient analysis function: It is also possible to analyze the number of peaks and frequency using FFT.
・Supports simultaneous measurement of various external sensors: Also supports voltage and current measurement. Contributes to improved controllability by measuring resolver, Hall sensor output, etc. (with optional I/O module)

■System configurationTorque meters ATM-100 and ATV-100 are directly connected to a Windows computer. Five models of torque sensors from 1mNm to 10Nm can be replaced by the customer. By connecting the I/O module to a computer, you can import external measurement data such as voltage, current, and temperature, and control the power ON/OFF of the measurement motor.

■3 types of graph displayThe dedicated software TORQuick CT can display measured data in three types: XY coordinate graph, polar coordinate graph, and FFT graph.

■Vertical torque sensor that guarantees highly accurate measurementVertical torque sensors do not use bearings, so there is no mechanical loss that can lead to measurement errors. It is also easy to align the sensor shaft and motor shaft.

■Additional functions by I/O moduleBy connecting the I/O module to a computer via USB, you can import up to 8 channels of external data and display it simultaneously with angle vs. torque. Units, scaling, and offset can be set. It supports motor control development by simultaneously displaying various data such as voltage/current, temperature, and motor rotational position information from position sensors.
