About This Product

Nanocolloidal metal oxides are used in a variety of fields to add value to materials and products. The nanocolloidal metal oxides we handle are provided by Nyacol Nano Technologies, Inc. (Nyacol, USA). Nyacol has expertise in nanoparticle chemistry and manufacturing technology and has been a leading colloidal materials company for over 40 years. The company's products have small particle sizes, making them extremely advantageous for products that require transparency, such as coating agents. *NYACOL® is a registered trademark of Nyacol Nano Technologies, Inc. in the United States.

■Features

The electrolyte in a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is a dense oxygen-carrying ceramic layer made of zirconia or ceria, typically a material with excellent properties in the 600-800°C temperature range, and is tape-molded from ceramic powder or deposited with a colloidal dispersion into a 10-20 micron layer. The following nanodispersions can be used to control the sintering of SOFC electrolytes or anode base metals. Nyacol zirconia products are designed for use as high temperature refractories and as ceramic binders, with or without yttria as a stabilizer.

■ZRY S4

Yttria stabilized zirconia. It can be used alone as well as as an additive to ceramic powders for controlled sintering of structures.

■Storage

Avoid storing NYACOL zirconia at temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) to avoid freezing. If the product is frozen, gradually warm it up and stir well before use.

■Safety

NYACOL Zirconia is acidic and can cause eye and skin irritation. Users must comply with the instructions for use printed on the package label.
