This tatami mat is made of a new material that retains the texture and feel of rushes while pursuing functionality and color variations. Received the 2008 Good Design Award.

■What is MIGUSA?Always beautiful and easy to use. Tatami mats are made from new materials with a variety of functionality. Sekisui sought to create tatami mats that take advantage of the texture, texture, and moisture absorption properties of natural rushes, while also offering superior durability, safety, and a wide variety of colors and patterns that exceed rushes. Advanced resin processing technology has created a product called "MIGUSA", making it possible to integrate and evolve with the ancient tradition of "tatami".

■MaterialSekisui "MIGUSA" was born from the delicate balance of polypropylene, which has excellent durability, and an inorganic material (hygroscopic calcium carbonate) that creates a natural texture. Because it is made from natural inorganic materials, it does not emit dioxins or other harmful substances even when burned, making it an environmentally friendly tatami mat.

■Color variationsSekisui tatami ``MIGUSA'' is available in over 40 different woven patterns and color variations to easily match modern interior tastes. A variety of weave patterns and colors that go beyond the conventional wisdom of tatami mats create sophisticated interior coordination.

■Forever beautifulCompared to natural rushes, it is less likely to fade and is more durable. There is almost no color change even in a room with plenty of sunlight, so you don't have to worry about matching colors when changing the table.
