About This Product

■Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with a molecular weight approximately 10 times greater than that of general polyethylene

Molded using ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with a molecular weight of 3.5 to 5 million (light scattering method) by low pressure method. It exhibits the best properties among many plastics in terms of wear resistance, sliding properties, and impact resistance. It can be used in a wide range of temperatures from ultra-low temperatures below -100℃ to 90 to 100℃, and has a specific gravity of 0.94, making it one of the lightest plastics. Features

■Abrasion resistance

It is at the highest level among plastic materials, and its performance far exceeds that of steel.

■Sliding properties, self-lubricating properties

It has advanced properties comparable to fluororesins, and is therefore used in many applications such as gears, bearings, and hopper lining materials.

■High impact resistance

It will not break in the notched Izod impact test even at low temperatures.

■Chemical resistance

It is not attacked by most chemicals, except for some highly concentrated strong acids and organic solvents.

■Electrical characteristics

It has excellent electrical insulation properties and extremely good high frequency characteristics.

■Cold resistance

It does not become brittle even at ultra-low temperatures of -100°C or lower and exhibits stable performance.

■Hygiene

Like regular polyethylene, it is non-toxic and is also used as food containers.

■Others

It has many features such as being light (specific gravity 0.94), stress cracking resistant, and excellent workability.
