About This Product

■"Heat and impact resistant" copolyester plateA new heat-resistant grade has been added to the Sekisui PET plate <Esterra>, which boasts the highest level of transparency. Heat resistance and impact resistance have been significantly improved, which was previously impossible to achieve, without sacrificing excellent moldability. In particular, it enables new developments in various industrial fields, such as equipment covers in high temperature ranges and food line applications where hygiene is essential.

Features
■Heat resistanceHeat resistance is 30% higher than conventional PET-G products, allowing use in higher temperature ranges. It also has durability in high temperature ranges.

■Shock resistanceImpact resistance has been significantly improved compared to conventional PET-G products. Thickness can be reduced depending on the application. It also has excellent resistance to impact at low temperatures.

■TransparencyMaintains the same level of transparency as conventional PET-G products (total light transmittance of 90%: actual value).Brings a high-gloss aesthetic to the product.

■Secondary processabilityLike conventional PET-G, it can be processed in a wide range of ways, including cutting, punching, drilling, and bending.

■Vacuum/pressure moldabilityCompared to polycarbonate, it can be molded at low temperatures and requires no pre-drying, reducing cycle time.

■Hygiene- Conforms to the food hygiene standards of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare Notification No. 201.
・Suitable for dealing with bisphenol A in food-related fields.

■Gamma ray resistanceIt is also suitable for use in the medical field as there is almost no yellowing or deterioration due to gamma irradiation.

■Environmentally friendlyIt is a plastic material that does not emit halogen-based toxic gases when burned, and burns relatively low calories.

■OthersIt is lighter than conventional PET-G products (specific gravity 1.18) and has excellent chemical resistance like PET-G.
