About This Product

■Summary

Manufactured by Swiss company Simatec. Shimatherm is a product that makes it possible to install bearings quickly and safely without damaging the bearings, unlike conventional bearing installation work (shrink fit work), which was performed by methods such as press-fitting with a press or hammer or heating in an oil bath.

■Principle

Shimatherm has an induction coil built into its main body, and uses an induction heating method in which when electricity is applied, an induced current is generated in the bearing, which generates heat due to the resistance of the bearing itself. This heating method allows the bearing to be uniformly heated and expanded in a very short period of time without energy loss, making it possible to perform installation work safely and efficiently. In addition to bearings, any ring-shaped metal can also be heated, such as gears and sleeves. Features

The bearing heater is a product subject to the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act (PSE mark). Shimatherm displays the mark because it has been confirmed that it complies with technical standards.
