■GC sand (green silicon carbide) is refined by melting coke and a silicon carbide raw material whose main components are silica stone and silica sand in an electric resistance furnace. It is characterized by a greenish color. It is mainly used for cutting and primary lapping of ceramics, glass, crystal, silicon wafers, etc. It is also used as a raw material for precision whetstones and cutlery whetstones.

■C sand (black silicon carbide) is refined by thermally reacting silicon carbide raw materials consisting of silica stone and silica sand with coke in an electric resistance furnace. It is characterized by a black color. It is mainly used as a raw material for super-finishing precision whetstones and super-finishing coated abrasive paper, and is used for precision processing of ceramics, cast iron, brass, copper, stone, etc. It is also used as a raw material for precision whetstones and cutlery whetstones, and as a stone blasting material.

■WA sand (white alumina) is produced by melting and solidifying high-purity electrofused white alumina abrasive material in an electric furnace.It is high-purity alumina and has a white color. It is mainly used as a raw material for super-finishing precision grinding wheels and super-finishing coated abrasive paper, and is used for lapping of magnetic materials, ceramics, and devices in the semiconductor industry. It is also used as a raw material for cutlery whetstones, offset whetstones, and blasting materials.

■A sand (brown alumina) is manufactured by melting and reducing an alumina abrasive made of bauxite in an electric furnace and solidifying it.It contains titanium oxide to improve toughness, giving it a brownish color. Main uses include blasting material for precision parts and raw material for coated abrasive paper. It is also used for cutting whetstones, offset whetstones, abrasive cloth raw materials, blasting materials, etc.
