■Fully automatic roll-to-roll direct gravure printing machine DG500RtoR-MIP with all direct gravure printing systems

Direct gravure printing, which is excellent for printing thin lines such as ITO film for touch panels, has a range of applications that screen printing and gravure offset printing do not have, including productivity, and its range of applications is expanding not only to conductor printing but also to all functional printing fields. Another attractive feature is our collaboration with screen printing, which is our specialty technology. It is also possible to construct a continuous line such as direct gravure printing for the first color and screen printing for the second color.

■What is direct gravure printing?

This printing method, also known as polymer gravure printing, is a type of intaglio printing, in which a resin plate is graved with a laser, the paste applied to the entire surface of the plate is scraped off with a doctor, and the paste remaining in the recesses is transferred directly to the printed material.
