About This Product

■Summary

The MP4033 is a triac dimmable primary-side controlled offline LED lighting controller with active PFC. It can also be used in applications that require analog dimming via PWM input. Uses a single-stage converter to output accurate LED current for isolated lighting applications. A unique real current control method uses primary side information to accurately control LED current. The MP4033 implements power factor correction and operates in boundary conduction mode to reduce MOSFET switching losses. Adaptive dimmer type detection and phase-cut based dimming control provide excellent dimmer compatibility and deep dimming width. The MP4033 has built-in charging circuitry on the power pins, allowing fast startup with no discernible delay. With unique control of driver pin DIM, the MP4033 supports color temperature and brightness control for warm dusk dimming applications. The MP4033 has multiple protection features that greatly improve system reliability and safety, including output overvoltage protection, output short-circuit protection, winding short-circuit protection, programmable thermal foldback (MSOP10 / SOIC14), ZCD pin short-circuit protection, power pin undervoltage lockout protection, and overtemperature protection. All failure protections are equipped with automatic restart functionality. MP4033 is offered in SOIC-8/MSOP-10/SOIC-14 packages.
