About This Product

■Summary

The MP4031 is a triac and analog dimmable primary controlled offline LED lighting controller with active PFC. A single-stage converter can be used to output accurate LED current for isolated lighting applications. A unique real-current control scheme uses primary-side information to accurately control LED current. Eliminating secondary feedback components and optocouplers greatly simplifies LED lighting system design. The MP4031 implements power factor correction and operates in boundary conduction mode to reduce MOSFET switching losses. The MP4031 has built-in charging circuitry on the power pins for fast startup with no visible delay. Unique dimming control expands the dimming range of the triac base. A special current sensing structure allows implementation of analog dimming. The MP4031 has multiple protection features that greatly enhance system reliability and safety, including overvoltage protection, overload protection, power pin undervoltage lockout, and overtemperature protection. All failure protections are equipped with automatic restart functionality. The MP4031 is available in an 8-pin SOIC package.
