About This Product

■Summary

The MP6909 is a low voltage drop diode emulator IC that, when combined with an external switch, replaces a Schottky diode in a high efficiency flyback converter. The MP6909 regulates the forward drop of an external synchronous rectifier (SR) MOSFET to approximately 40mV and switches off when the voltage goes negative. MP6909 can generate its own supply voltage through an internal linear regulator. A programmable ringing detection circuit prevents the MP6909 from accidentally turning on with VDS oscillations during discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) and quasi-resonant operation. The MP6909 is offered in a space-saving TSOT23-6 package.
