About This Product

■Summary

MP6972 is a fast turn-off intelligent rectifier for flyback converters with integrated 100V/17mΩ MOSFET. Can be used in place of diode rectifiers to increase efficiency and power density. The chip regulates the forward voltage drop of the internal power switch to VFWD (40mV) and turns off before the drain-to-source voltage reverses. MP6972 is optimized for low-side rectification. An internal ringing detection circuit prevents the MP6972 from accidentally turning on during discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) or quasi-resonant operation. The MP6972 is offered in a SOIC-8 package.
