About This Product

■Summary

The MP44019 is a CrM/DCM multimode PFC controller that provides simple, high performance active power factor correction using minimal external components. The MP44019 has a very low supply current, allowing the device to have low standby power dissipation. Typical no-load power loss is less than 50mW. To improve light-load efficiency, dead-time extension techniques are used to reduce switching frequency at light loads. The device achieves lower total harmonic distortion (THD) with variable on-time control in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) compared to traditional constant on-time (COT) control. Multiple protection features improve system safety and reliability. The MP44019 provides overvoltage protection (OVP), second OVP (OVP2), overcurrent limit (OCL), overcurrent protection (OCP), undervoltage protection (UVP), brown-in (BI) and brown-out (BO), VCC undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and overtemperature protection (OTP). MP44019 is offered in SOIC-8 package.
